What is the Manipulative Therapy Technique?

Manipulative Therapy (AMA Orthopedic Council at thier February, 1980 Conference) involves the application of accurately determined and specifically directed manual force into the body.

The objective is to improve mobility in the areas that are restricted, whether the restriction is within a joint, connective tissue, or in the skeletal muscle.

The result may be the improvement of posture and movement, the relief of pain and discomfort, the improvement of functions elsewhere in the body, and the enhancement of the sense of well-being.
